Almacantar is a property investment and development company. We specialise in large-scale, complex investments in Central London, with the potential to create long-term value through development, repositioning or active asset management.

Since we launched in 2010 we have acquired over 1.5 million sq. ft. of prime assets in the heart of London including; Centre Point, Marble Arch Place, One and Two Southbank Place, Lyons Place and 125 Shaftesbury Avenue.

Tracy joined Almacantar in 2016 and is responsible for sales on Almacantar’s residential schemes, including Centre Point Residences, Lyons Place and The Bryanston, Hyde Park.

Tracy has in-depth knowledge of the international property industry from her substantial experience working with renowned property and development companies Marriott and Starwood throughout Europe, North America and Asia specifically responsible for sales in London, Spain, Hawaii, California, Manhattan and Indonesia. Since arriving back in the UK in 2012, Tracy has advised clients on residential purchases with John Taylor UK and Keller Williams International both in Mayfair focusing on the Prime Central London Residential market.

Matt has extensive experience in the real estate sector. He has broad transactional expertise, having negotiated as both principal and adviser on property and debt transactions totalling over £6bn.

As Transactions Director Matt is responsible for negotiation and delivery of all transactions at Almacantar including acquisitions, leasing, debt, joint ventures and disposals.

A lawyer by background, Matt has worked in real estate investment banking, legal private practice and operated at General Counsel and Legal Counsel level in the European office of one of the world’s largest real estate investors.

Harry ChichesterHarry Chichester

Harry is a Chartered Surveyor with 15 years’ experience in fund management and asset management. He brings wide-ranging knowledge of the London and UK markets.

Before joining Almacantar, Harry worked at real estate fund managers Invista, where he ran the HBOS Fund Management Team, which was responsible for £2.4 bn of UK assets, and the Office Sector investment and asset management team, which managed a £2 bn Central London and UK office portfolio.

Prior to that, Harry worked with various property advisors, including Jones Lang LaSalle, CB Hillier Parker and Healey & Baker, in a variety of investment agency and valuation roles.

Harry graduated in Theology from Oxford University and achieved a Masters in Land Management from Reading University.

Jonathan EvansJonathan Evans

Jonathan joined Almacantar in 2016 as Office Leasing Director and brings over 30 years experience in the development and leasing of mixed use developments in Central London.

During his career he has worked both as an advisor and principal, having spent 16 years as the lead Director of the West End leasing teams at JLL and DTZ and was also Head of Asset and Property Management for the London Office Portfolio at Land Securities.

Jonathan has held a number of senior posts in the property industry including Vice Chair of the Westminster Property Association; Chair of the Office Agents Society; member of the BCO Research Board; member of the Mayor of London’s Office Review Panel and member of the Family Office Real Estate Advisors Forum.

Will joined Almacantar in 2016 and is a qualified solicitor with experience in debt, corporate and commercial matters. He provides transactional advice and is responsible for the Group’s corporate governance.

Prior to joining Almacantar, Will was a Legal Counsel at one of the world’s largest infrastructure services businesses. He trained and qualified at Allen & Overy LLP, where he was an Associate in the Project Finance group.

Linda is a solicitor with over 20 years of legal experience working in the City practice Dechert LLP, acting for developers, funds and occupiers on large scale commercial acquisitions, development projects and general asset management. Her work has involved all aspects of property development and investment work including joint ventures, cross-border corporate acquisitions and off-shore trust structures.

At Almacantar, she is responsible for the instruction, co-ordination and supervision of external legal advisors and has day to day responsibility for the management of legal aspects of Almacantar’s property portfolio.

Linda graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1988 with a B.Sc (Econ) Hons. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1993, prior to which she spent six months as a visiting associate attorney with a US law firm in Washington DC.

Gavin Sinnott

With over fifteen years of experience in the property and construction industry, Gavin has in-depth knowledge of the sector.

Prior to joining Almacantar in 2016, Gavin worked at M3 Consulting where he worked on a variety of projects, from feasibility through to delivery and occupation. His projects have ranged from small fit outs to large-scale mixed-use schemes including Broadgate Circle, One Carter Lane, 199 Bishopsgate, 100 Liverpool Street and Streatham Hub.

Gavin graduated from City University with a degree in Civil Engineering and began his career as a consulting engineer working on a variety of brownfield regeneration and infrastructure projects around the UK.

Geoff TaylorGeoff Taylor

Geoff brings extensive experience in design, construction and procurement, after a career spanning nearly 10 years in structural design and over 25 years in development and project management for client organisations.

Before joining Almacantar, Geoff was Project Director with Land Securities, where he completed c£1.3bn of capital projects, including BBC Broadcasting House, BBC Pacific Quay and 500,000 square feet for the Ministry of Justice in Victoria.

Prior to Land Securities, Geoff worked as Director of Development and Construction at Wembley National Stadium. Earlier roles have taken him as far afield as Iran, Iraq, Dubai, Germany, Portugal, Australia, India, Greece and Turkey.

Geoff is a graduate and chartered civil engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, and a graduate of Harvard Business School. He enjoys the complexity of large-scale development projects and has an instinct for getting to the heart of the matter quickly.

With a focus on managing teams to deliver an exceptional end product, James brings a key skill set as developments progress from feasibility, through the planning process and onto construction and launch.

James joined Almacantar in November 2012 from Land Securities, where he was a Project Manager in their London Portfolio working on residential and commercial developments.

A Chartered Surveyor by background, James was involved in high profile schemes at Land Securities, including Victoria Transport Interchange, Wellington House and Kingsgate House, and led all aspects of construction to secure delivery of the project as well as managing key stakeholder interfaces.
Prior to Land Securities, James worked for Jones Lang LaSalle and delivered schemes for both occupier and investor clients including Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, SWIP and Sun Microsystems.

Chris has significant experience in the field of post contract project management, project controls, and contract administration, as well as a great track record of delivering highly complex schemes from inception through to completion. He is a Chartered Surveyor by background and has a deep understanding of the London market.

Chris joined Almacantar in 2016 from Arcadis where he was an Associate Project Manager and Team Leader in their London Property division working on both commercial & residential developments. During his time at Arcadis, Chris delivered Land Securities’ flagship “Kingsgate" and "62 Buckingham Gate" developments in Victoria, leading all aspects of construction through to completion. Chris has also been involved with schemes as far afield as Egypt and the Middle East where he worked to set up the project controls for an $8bn real estate development.

Chris graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in Property Development.

Rupesh has extensive knowledge of the property industry having worked across the development, construction and engineering sectors. His expertise lies in the planning and design of large-scale projects.
 

Before joining Almacantar in 2016, Rupesh was the Development Director at Craigewan Consulting, where he secured planning consents for the redevelopment of the former St. John’s Wood Barracks. Prior to Rupesh was part of the Lend Lease development and project management team for the Elephant & Castle regeneration scheme having earlier held roles as a structural engineer with the construction team. Rupesh is a Chartered Engineer, has a MBA from Imperial College and is a graduate of the University of Bath. 

Caroline Edwards

Caroline specialises in the planning, design and delivery of large-scale mixed use projects. Her expertise lies in bringing diverse stakeholders together to unlock the maximum development potential of a site.

Prior to joining Almacantar in 2018, Caroline spent twelve years at the Aga Khan University where she managed the development of new campuses across East Africa and South Asia. Key projects include, the establishment of a regional campus and University Town on a 3,200 acre site in Tanzania and a 600-bed Tertiary Teaching Hospital in Uganda.

Caroline holds a degree in Urban Studies from Brown University and a Master's in Urban Planning from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.

Over the past few years Ria has gained an extensive knowledge of all aspects within the Central London property sector, its complexities, and its challenges.

As a Development Surveyor, Ria joined Almacantar in 2017 and is engaged in a variety of projects across the portfolio from planning through to construction and completion. She graduated from the University of Manchester with a First Class Masters degree in Real Estate and Planning.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Laura brings a broad financial skill-set to Almacantar.

Laura is responsible for the management of the group’s cash flow forecasting processes, as well as financial control, reporting and analysis for capital expenditure relating to Almacantar’s on-site property developments.

Previously, Laura worked in the financial reporting team at ING bank and as a regulatory analyst at Goldman Sachs. She graduated from the University of Otago in 2006 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics), and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 2009.

Daniel has spent the last 20 years working across the spectrum of communications disciplines.

Daniel started with Almacantar in early 2018, taking responsibility for all external communications for the company. Prior to this, he ran his own consultancy; organising communications campaigns for international governments, sporting bodies and major corporations.
From 2008 – 2012, Daniel was Director of Marketing & 2012 Communications for the Mayor of London – delivering behavior change, place making and destination campaigns in support of the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games and the Queen’s Jubilee.
Daniel started his career as a Graduate with Saatchi & Saatchi in 1998 – working on advertising campaigns for global brands such as Lexus, Sony and Proctor & Gamble. In 2003 he moved from commercial to political campaigning; running campaigns for David Cameron and Boris Johnson.

With a consumer-centric focus, Rachel’s role at Almacantar is to drive leads by executing tactical and innovative marketing strategies across all of Almacantar’s schemes, covering residential, retail and office uses.

Rachel joined Almacantar in May 2018 from CBRE where she was a Project Lead in the Development Consultancy team, focussing on advising developers and housebuilders on strategic and forward-thinking sales and marketing plans both in the UK and overseas, right through from planning stages to post launch.

Rachel has previously advised major developers including St George, Berkeley and CIT working closely on some of London’s most high-profile developments such as London Dock, One Blackfriars and Nine Elms Point.
