City planner Peter Rees and Almacantar’s Mike Hussey were the headline award winners at Thursday night’s EG Awards, while Jones Lang LaSalle led the agents with four trophies.
JLL was named Offices, Industrial and National Property Adviser of the Year. To cap a great night, the firm’s Will Grant won the Young Property Professional of the Year Award.
Awards host Dara O’Briain handed the National Property Company of the Year to British Land chief executive Chris Grigg, while Argent, for attracting Google to King’s Cross, and LondonMetric, for the merger that created the business, won the two new Deal of the Year categories.
Rees was recognised for his 30 years shaping the City of London with the Outstanding Contribution to Property Award. Hussey won the EG London Award for the impact Almacantar has had on the capital’s skyline since he founded the company in 2010.
Other winners included AXA, Berkeley and Legal & General Property.
