Almacantar, the property company founded by veteran developer Mike Hussey in 2010, has made its first asset sale as it looks to reposition its London portfolio.
The company this week sold Grade II listed CAA House, which was designed by architect Richard Seifert in 1968, to small investor Seaforth Land for £165m.
The Covent Garden building, originally known as “Space House”, is built in a mid-century Brutalist style and comprises two office blocks connected by a bridge. It was bought by Almacantar for about £110m in 2012, and is let to the Civil Aviation Authority until 2019.
